    Juice Plus+ Review 2026: Is It Worth It? Research, Cost & Side Effects

    ·Updated ·Karis Enterprises
    Juice Plus+ review 2026

    Short answer: Juice Plus+ is a line of supplements made from fruit, vegetable and berry juice powders plus added vitamins. Studies show it can raise blood levels of some vitamins and antioxidants, but there's no good evidence that it prevents or treats disease, and it doesn't replace eating fruits and vegetables. It's worth it if you want a convenient, plant-based daily routine and the cost fits your budget — not if you're hoping for a cure or a shortcut. Below: every current product and price, what's inside, what the research really shows, side effects, criticisms, and who it suits.

    Disclosure: this review is written by Karis Enterprises, an independent Juice Plus+ partner — we earn a commission if you order through our link. That's exactly why we've included the criticisms and the limits of the research, with sources, so you can judge for yourself. Not medical advice.

    What is Juice Plus+?

    Juice Plus+ is a brand of dietary supplements made by Natural Alternatives International in San Marcos, California, for National Safety Associates (NSA), the company behind the brand, founded in 1970 and based in Collierville, Tennessee. It's sold through independent partners rather than in stores, a network-marketing model (Wikipedia).

    The core idea: concentrated powders from fruits, vegetables and berries, plus added vitamins, in capsules, chewables or drink mixes — meant to complement a healthy diet.

    What products does Juice Plus+ sell in 2026?

    What's actually in Juice Plus+ capsules?

    Juice Plus+ labels listed in the NIH Dietary Supplement Label Database (entered 2021) show the blends contain juice powders and pulp from foods such as apple, orange, pineapple, peach, cranberry and beet (Fruit Blend); carrot, broccoli, kale, spinach, tomato, garlic, cabbage, beet and spirulina (Vegetable Blend); and blueberry, bilberry, cranberry, pomegranate, Concord grape, blackberry, raspberry, elderberry and black currant (Berry Blend) — plus added vitamins such as vitamin C (as calcium ascorbate) and vitamin E (Fruit Blend+, Vegetable Blend+, Berry Blend+). The labels don't state how much of each fruit or vegetable is in a serving. Products have been reformulated since, so check the current label.

    So Juice Plus+ isn't "just fruits and vegetables in a capsule": part of what it delivers comes from the added vitamins.

    Does Juice Plus+ work? What the research shows

    Juice Plus+ says its products have been the subject of 40+ published studies. Here's what some of them measured:

    • Blood pressure and antioxidants in people with high blood pressure (PMID 18227913)
    • Skin microcirculation and hydration in healthy women over 12 weeks (PMID 21822034)
    • Inflammation markers in a placebo-controlled trial (PMID 35883832)
    • Oxidized LDL and TNF-α in women combining the supplement with exercise (PMID 23591157)
    • Omega-3 Index and carotenoid levels over 16 weeks (PMID 32064970)

    What that adds up to, according to independent sources:

    • It raises some nutrient levels. Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center summarizes that bioavailability studies suggest Juice Plus+ can increase blood levels of nutrients such as alpha-carotene, with mixed results for others (MSK).
    • Disease outcomes aren't established. MSK states that Juice Plus+ "has not been shown to treat or prevent cancer," and found heart-health results mixed. Wikipedia's summary: "There is no good evidence that Juice Plus offers health benefits" (Wikipedia).
    • Funding matters. Several studies were sponsored by the manufacturer or co-authored by people with financial ties to it, and critics argue the benefits seen may come mainly from the added vitamins (Wikipedia).

    Our take: the studies support "it can raise blood levels of some nutrients." They don't support claims that it prevents illness — and nobody should use it instead of medical care.

    Juice Plus+ side effects and safety

    Most people tolerate it well, but side effects have been reported. In clinical studies some people had stomach upset and a hive-like rash, and one case report described elevated liver tests in a patient that returned to normal after stopping the product (MSK). MSK also advises people on chemotherapy or radiation not to take it, because antioxidant supplements may interfere with those treatments. Talk to your doctor first if you're pregnant, take medication (including blood thinners), or have a health condition. More: Juice Plus+ side effects.

    How much does Juice Plus+ cost?

    Starting prices in the official store range from $28 to $221 per product (October 2026), depending on the product, size and plan. The most popular starting point, the Fruit, Vegetable & Berry Blend Capsules, starts at $99. That's more than a basic multivitamin, and more than buying a few extra servings of produce a week. Details: what Juice Plus+ costs.

    Juice Plus+ vs the alternatives

    • Eating more fruits and vegetables — the best-supported option for health, with fiber and variety no capsule matches. Juice Plus+ is a supplement to that, not a substitute.
    • A multivitamin — cheaper and delivers set amounts of vitamins and minerals; Juice Plus+ delivers fruit and vegetable powders plus some vitamins. See Juice Plus+ vs a multivitamin.
    • Greens powders (like AG1) — similar convenience category; compare labels and prices. See Juice Plus+ vs Athletic Greens and how to choose a superfood supplement.

    Criticisms and controversies

    Because Juice Plus+ is sold by independent partners, what partners say has repeatedly been a problem:

    • Italy, 2019: companies trading under the Juice Plus brand were fined €1 million by Italy's competition authority for deceptive marketing, including fake user testimonials (Wikipedia).
    • US, 2020: the Federal Trade Commission sent The Juice Plus+ Company a warning letter about partners' social media posts linking the products to COVID-19 and about income claims (FTC letter, FTC press release).
    • Australia: a $37,800 penalty from the Therapeutic Goods Administration over advertising (Wikipedia).

    That's why this site doesn't use testimonials, income claims or disease claims — and why you should be skeptical of anyone who promises Juice Plus+ will cure or prevent anything.

    Who is Juice Plus+ worth it for?

    It can make sense if you:

    • struggle to eat enough fruits and vegetables and want a simple daily habit;
    • want a plant-based product range for the whole family (there are chewables for kids);
    • are an athlete who needs NSF Certified for Sport products;
    • are comfortable with the cost.

    It's probably not for you if you:

    • already eat plenty of fruits and vegetables;
    • are on a tight budget (spend it on produce first);
    • are looking for treatment of a health condition;
    • are undergoing chemotherapy or radiation (ask your oncologist).

    How do you buy Juice Plus+?

    Juice Plus+ isn't sold in stores. You order from the official Juice Plus+ online store, usually through a partner's link, and The Juice Plus+ Company ships to your door. If you see it on a marketplace, check who the seller is and the expiration date. Buying through our partner link costs the same as buying direct.

    The verdict

    Juice Plus+ is a convenient, well-made way to add fruit and vegetable powders and some vitamins to your day, and it measurably raises some nutrient levels. It is not a proven way to prevent or treat disease, and it's not a replacement for real produce. If you go in with those expectations — and the cost works for you — it can be a reasonable part of a healthy routine.
